The Appointment of 12

Mark 3:13-19

Different people, different temperaments, no assurance of loyalty and trust or of faithfulness, yet He chooses them. He does not look on the past with judgmental eyes, He sees the future with all the potentials they have. He is excited on how they can best use of there past for good. He knows they will be more compassionate for others because they too fall short before.

He sees the past as an advantage and a learning curve not an inhibition but instead a stepping-stone for greatness.

Leap to the unknown might be the right phrase, but He did see, after all, “I am the Alpha and Omega, the beginning and end”. But He still chose them. May we always choose like Him with the eyes of faith and compassion. Amen.
