Life Giving and Changing

Every mission is life giving and every encounter with Jesus is life changing. It exposes us to the goodness of others and opens our eyes to the blessings and learnings we forgot to see. Mission refreshes our soul because in it we encounter Jesus differently from our daily routine thereby broadening and changing our perspective of life. We gain and regain Jesus in mission.

On Rejection

Rejection is one of the worst experiences someone can have. It lowers self-confidence, brings down self-worth, and causes so much internal wounds. Is there a way to soften its impact? If we are the one who will reject, the only way I think is to do it in truth, sincerity and compassion. This will make the one rejected look at the situation objectively and process the emotions positively despite the truth of rejection. If we are the one rejected, the only way I think is to accept it as it is, in all its truth, but fully conscious of our own self worth in the God who values us as who we are not as we should be.

The Difference

All of us makes mistakes and at some point sinned as well. We are all sinners the only difference is that not everyone asks forgiveness. May you grant us the grace O Lord to recognize our sins and the courage to asks for forgiveness. Amen.

It’s A Good Thing

It’s a good thing God does not answer our prayers all the time. I had just a conversation with a friend who uncovered her diary way back in life and we were laughing at the memories surging with what was written on it. I remember too looking at my own diary before, oh my, prayers, wishes and even some promises of this and that just for something to happen. Looking back, O how I thank God He did not listened to me at that time.

Well, we only have to look back at our inclinations in life before and compare it to the present; there can be big differences. So yes, if you love what and where you are now, thanked God He did not answered your prayers then. If there’s one big affirmation of this, God knows what is best for us.

Life Is Simple

Life is simple; we don’t need to buy happiness. It is everywhere, in the simple things. Life can be unfair yes, but life is simple and beautiful, we are the one making it complicated and ugly. We think too much when what is needed is just to gaze and appreciate what is in fact already given. If we have the eyes of simplicity we can truly see beauty around us.
