In mission we don’t think of hiring FTPWs (Fulltime Pastoral
Workers)* based on the number of community members of the areas to be sustained
because it is a limiting consideration. The implication of this kind of
mentality is that we are just hiring to maintain the same number of members.
No. When we develop and hire missionaries it is because we want to expand and enlarge
the territory of the Lord. We must have a vision much bigger than what we have
in the present. In this way we can grow. We have to have an expansion mentality
rather than a maintenance mentality.
Jesus commanded us, Go and proclaim the good news not
stay and proclaim the good news.
