On Silence

Saint Faustina wrote on her diary, “A talkative soul is empty inside. It lacks both the essential virtues and intimacy with God.”

We need to be silent if only to hear what is essential in life. There is beauty in silence. It gives us space to grasp what we cannot in noise. It makes us reflect and weigh things. Silence is a prerequisite to sound and good decisions.
