Yesterday, a brother in the community gave a pin that
says, “It’s okay to say Merry Christmas to me.” Looking at it, I cannot help by
sigh at how far society had redefined Christmas. “Happy Holidays” is now the
politically correct greeting, some said in deference to other faith and unbelievers.
However, come to think of it, Christmas is precisely a Christian event,
celebrating the birth of the savior Jesus Christ. Apart from Jesus there is no
Christmas. Christmas without Christ is just a mas, totally incomplete and
devoid of meaning. How about, keeping “Merry Christmas” out of respect of those
who believe in Jesus?
