Quantum satis, a medicine and pharmacology term in Latin
which means “The amount which is enough or a sufficient quantity”. Any
ingredient in a tablet for example that is below the required measurement
renders the medicine ineffective.
I remember a story of some seminarians being afraid of their
strict professor. One day, they were asks certain questions and few could
answer well. The professor fumed and said “Yan lang ba ang utak na ibibigay niyo
sa Diyos!? (Is that the only brain you can give to the Lord!?) quantum satis
for God!”
When it comes to God, scanty amount is not enough, it
should always be “Quantum Satis” “sufficient quantity”. When we give our all, even if our all is just
as small as a mustard seed, so be it, so long as it is our all!
