Mission Desire

Mission is not just about our desire for it, but Gods desire for us. You may desire it but ultimately it is Gods desire for you to do the mission that makes you a missionary. He calls first and then we respond.

There is beauty to this set up, because this calls for humility on our part. When we do mission, we do it not because we are so good and we desire for it, but because God is so good and He desired it for us. We desire what He desires, so we will not boast of ourselves. We will not complain either, because only responded to a call and we believed and answered to that call. We do not own our mission, but Gods. We do not do our own work but Gods work. It is not just about our own desire to do mission but above all, Gods desires for us to do His mission.

Grant us always Lord humility in mission. Amen.
