On Rejection

Rejection is one of the worst experiences someone can have. It lowers self-confidence, brings down self-worth, and causes so much internal wounds. Is there a way to soften its impact? If we are the one who will reject, the only way I think is to do it in truth, sincerity and compassion. This will make the one rejected look at the situation objectively and process the emotions positively despite the truth of rejection. If we are the one rejected, the only way I think is to accept it as it is, in all its truth, but fully conscious of our own self worth in the God who values us as who we are not as we should be.
