Wrong Reasons

Our mind may deny all it wants that our intention is pure but our heart will always speak the truth. No amount of blaming and complaining can hide the posture of the heart. If we are in mission with wrong reasons, we will end up frustrated and exasperated.

It is not so much about how excellent we are in executing programs nor it is about how good we are at increasing numbers and area of mission, but what is the posture of our heart while executing the program and increasing the numbers. Are we growing in character? Have we become more Christ Centred?

Competence yes, but character and Christ-centeredness first. It’s such a waste serving in mission when along the way we regress in our character and our relationship with Christ.

We must purify our intention; Christ should be our reason and mission a fruit of it.
