Silence is a sign of a mature relationship. It is the language of a relationship tested in time, molded by experience and anchored in Christ.
Each person coming into a relationship and brings with them
their life’s lessons, wealth of experience and abiding relationship with Christ
are putting themselves on solid foundation. These kinds of people don’t need
years to be tested, molded and anchored because even before they entered into
relationship, they already are. This is where our elder’s advice becomes helpful,
“Be in relationship when you are mature enough.”
The language of mature people is silence. This is not
silence for the sake of not talking because we have something against someone,
that is indifference. This is the silence of peace, love and contentment. They only
speak when necessary.
There is no need to talk when the heart talks.
