Talking about
conversations, you don’t have to ask if someone wants to talk or not, the
manner of responses alone will tell. They don’t want to be bothered for
whatever reasons.
For now what you have is
“maybe”. Maybe the other is going through some tough times, or maybe just busy,
or maybe you’ve done or said something wrong or maybe the other doesn’t really
want to talk to you anymore. All is “maybe” what is certain is they don’t want
to be bothered. Trying to converse will just exacerbate the situation.
What should you do? You
actually don’t have options, other than respect, pray, love and wait.
1. Respect the other
rather than being bothersome. You don’t want to be annoying.
2. Pray, Saint Padre Pio
once said, “Pray, hope and don’t worry. Worry is useless. God is merciful and
will hear your prayer.”
3. Continue loving. Love
doesn’t need conversation, the heart knows beyond what the hands can write and
the lips can utter.
4. Wait in silence for
God, “He makes all things beautiful in His time.” Ecclesiastes 3:11.
Remember, it’s not just
about what’s good for you but more importantly what is good for the other.
